Peek Union

         PEEK Union 

A PEEK Union is a small connector used to join two lengths of PEEK tubing in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), fluidic panels, or analytical systems. Its made from polyetheretherketone (PEEK) a high-performance engineering thermoplastic with excellent chemical, thermal, and mechanical properties. 

  Specifications (General)

While exact specs vary by manufacturer/model, these are the most common parameters youll see:

      Material

• Body Material: PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) biocompatible, inert, corrosion-resistant. 

      Compatibility

• Designed for 1/16 OD tubing (very common for HPLC applications). 

        Threading

• Common thread standard: 10-32 UNF (for connection to fittings or instrument ports). 

      Pressure Rating

• Frequently rated up to 350 bar (5000 psi) for high-pressure applications. Actual maximum varies with tubing and setup. 

       Temperature Range

• Typical adapted connectors support normal lab conditions (often 20C to +120C or higher depending on PEEK grade and application), but the base PEEK material itself can withstand much higher continuous service temperatures (250260 C for PEEK itself). 

        Bore / Inner Diameter Options

• Unions are available in various bore sizes such as:

  • 0.25 mm

  • 0.50 mm

  • 0.75 mm
    (These relate to the internal passage through which fluid flows.) 

        Dead Volume

• Low dead volume designs minimize retention volume in fluidic systems important in analytical chromatography.
